Hi! I am writing this post in both English and German. Please note that my german is not amazing.

English below
I am looking for a german man named Emil Göbel. Emil spent some time in Norway around 1904-1905 and had a child. His daughters name was Signe Emilsdatter Göbel. It is unknown wether he took the knowledge of this daugther with him when he left Norway, or if he ever told anyone about her at all.
Not much is known about Emil.

We have gotten confirmation from norwegian church records that he is listed as the father. It is stated that he was a mine worker from Germany and that he is born around 1883. This is just an estimate based on his given age, and could differ with some years. When Signe gets married, it is stated that her father is a factory-worker. This would indicate that they have some kind of contact.

We have not managed to find any trace of him in Norway after the year of 1905, or before. I have gone through emigration and immigration lists without luck. It also happens to be so that the church parish does not have the right registration lists from that period.

That is all we know. I realize this is a very long shot and that there is not much information to start off with here. We do not know from where in Germany he would be from. I have tried to section off towns and areas with history of mining but to no avail.
My hope with posting here is that maybe someone has an Emil Göbel in their family tree that happened to go to Norway in the early 1900s. At least it would be a new trace to start.

Ich suche einen Mann namens Emil Göbel. Emil verbrachte 1904-1905 Zeit in Norwegen und hatte eine Tochter. Ihr Name war Signe Emilsdatter/Tocther Göbel.

Über Emil ist nicht viel bekannt.
Laut den norwegischen Kirchenbüchern war er ein Bergarbeiter aus Deutschland. Er wurde um 1883 geboren. Als Signe heiratet, wird Emil als Fabrikarbeiter geführt. Dies könnte bedeuten, dass sie miteinander in Kontakt standen.

Wir haben keine weiteren Informationen aus Norwegen gefunden. Er ist nicht in Einwanderungs- oder Auswanderungslisten aufgeführt. Aus dieser Zeit liegen der Kirchengemeinde keine Register vor.

Das ist alles, was wir über Emil wissen. Wir wissen nicht, wo in Deutschland er herkommt. Ich habe versucht, Bergbaustädte zu recherchieren, aber ohne Erfolg. Mir ist klar, dass es nicht viele Informationen sind.

Ich hoffe, dass jemand einen Emil Göbel kennt, der um 1905 nach Norwegen ging. Vielleicht ist er in Ihrem Stammbaum?

unfortunately the family name Göbel is rather widely distributed in Germany:

So you will not be able to totally exclude certain areas or focus on specific other areas.
On the right of the result website you see variations of the name, which are included in the search. Especially when a german name ist written abroad in a non-german speaking country, this may be important.
