I'm trying to track down the branch of the Siebenpfeiffer family that Philipp Jakob Siebenpfeiffer b. 12 Nov 1789, Lahr d. 14 May 1845 Bumpliz, Switzerland.

All of the info I've found to date relates to his career and specifically to his involvment in the Hambach Festival.

I would also like to find out who his descendents might be as only his wife is given but no mention of children.

Kindest regards, ;;;

Thanks so very much...I totally missed the reference to his daughter on Wikipedia! I would appreciate the address/es in Lahr as I hope to track down his parents and siblings if any.

It is believed that my ancestor left Europe because this P.J Siebenpfeiffer and my ancestor's grand-father shared the same name except for the spelling of Jakob/Jacob. There are also stories that revolutionary Philipp was an uncle or other relation. Would love to verify.

Kindest regards all, ;;;

:-) Absolutely fabulous, thank you so much!! This helps put some of the puzzle together and why earlier in my research I had some conflicting info. Philipp Jakob's (lawyer, revolutionary) father and my ancestor Philippe Jacob both died in 1799 and were both tailors. It appears, but I need to confirm some sources, that I descend from Philipp Jacob (brother to Johann Theobald).
