Heintzmann/Hauzmann à Carouge GE

Je suis a la recherche des ancetrs de ma mere.
Je coois que son arriere grandmere etait ROSALIE HEINTZMANN nee 1811 a Geneve mais le nom etait parfois Hintzmann ou Hauzmann.

Cette Rosalie etait mariee en 1840 a Londres.sa sour Frances (Jeanette Francoise) etait temoigne.
J'ai cherche les archives "on-line" de Geneve et J'ai trouve le marriage de ses parents.

JEAN GEORGE HAUZMANN fils de JEAN JACOB et de MARIE HAZIN
ROSE JUDITH LANGUETIN fille de DANIEL et de CHARLOTTE COLOMB 20 Juillet 1810

J'ai trouve beaucoup d'enfants de ce mariage.

Par tradition dans la famille anglaise FRY la famille de Rosalie etait juive.
Est-ce-qu"on peut me dire sim il y a des registres de la synagogue de Courouge (ou la famille habite) ou bien les enterrements dans la cimitiere juive a Carouge.

1.I wish to inform you that the jewish cimetery in Carouge is no longer in use, there is another one half on Geneva territory and half on French territory in Veyrier in the Canton of Geneva and in use since 1920.
2. There was never a synagogue in Carouge.
3. In any case all birth, mariage and death have to be declared officially and you find the documents at the Archives d'Etat de Genève.
4. Please what would you like to know exactly.

Thank you for that information. I was hoping to prove the Jewish connection and perhaps find out more about Jean Jacob Heintzmann /Hauzmann. Was there a synagogue in the 18th century and are there records for non protestant births and marriages for Geneva pre. 1770?

No there where absolutely no synagogues in the Canton of Geneve before ca 1860 and no records for non protestant births before in the 18th century.
