Hello,
Richard, Friedrich (Fred in the USA) von Ursenbach, Bern
Source: FamilySearch.org>Schweiz Katholiche und Reformiert Kirchenbuecher, Ursenbach, Bern, Switzerland.>Baptism records.
Fred’s father and mother were married in 1849, as shown in the screen shot. [I don’t usually see this info in a baptism entry.] Fred (born 1854) and his wife had 13 children, with my material grandmother being the 3rd child. The first child was Emma, born in 1879.
I would greatly appreciate a line by line transcription of this baptism. And is there a clue as to their religion?
The results will be shared on FamilySearch.org via the world tree. Fred’s ID # is LT93-DGG.
Richard Family History – The baptism record of Friedrich Richard in 1854.
By Walt Bruetsch, September, 2025
Source: FamilySearch.org - Switzerland records in the village of Ursenbach, canton Bern. There was no selection of churches. Evidently all baptisms were combined into one database. [I think it is Catholic, because of the amount of data. There is more data.]
The FamilySearch.org indexing has a birth date of 10 Dec 1854 and a baptism date of 31 Dec 1854. [The indexers probably had the microfilm of the entire year available to them.]
Brackets ( ) give the Thode Dictionary meaning in English of the German Swiss and Latin writing, as transcribed by me. Square brackets [xxx] means WEB’s comments. Now the transcription, left to right, top to bottom.

This Friedrich Richard, bpt. 1854, had 13 children and the entire family eventually migrated to Wisconsin, USA. On the FamilySearch.org’s World Tree, Friedrich has ID# LT93-DGG.
Many thanks, Walt Bruetschi
Here is the link to a photo of the screen. Wish I could show the photo. It is also on the FamilySearch.org

Re: Richard von Ursenbach BE
Hello,
A BIG Thank You!!! for the transcriptions and translations. I'll be updating my documents and putting the completed info onto the FamilySearch.org world tree.
A daughter of Friedrich, his 3rd child, Lena, is my maternal grandmother, with my mother being born on a homestead in Montana.
Best wishes to all, Walt Bruetsch
