Teichmann in Kahren

Hello,my Name is Heidi Wiggins. I live in Florida U.S.A.
I did find this Wonderful Forum hoping that someone can help me to find some Information about my Grandparents. My Oma was Angela Teichmann,She was born in Kahren in 1882. She married Otto Edmund Arthur
von Zengen the 30th of October 1909 in Saarburg. They
had 2 Children. My Mother Erika Maria ,and Eva von Zengen. My Mother died in Idar-Oberstein about 1950.
My Aunt Eva lived in Reil,She was never Married.I would
be very happy with any Information You could give me on this Family. Sincerely, Heidi Wiggins

Hallo Heidi,

contact the civil registers (Standesamt) of the towns you mentioned, they record births, marriages and deaths since late 1880s. They usually want a proof that you are a descendant, and charge (reasonable) fees, but you will recevive an official paper whith details that give you a hint where you could search further backwards, like in churchbooks.

I volunteer if you need help translating enquieries.
