I am looking for information on the Kutter family that registered in Thurgau in the 1800's. Gustave Adolph Kutter was born January 16, 1884 in Switzerland. There is a half brother, Fritz. This is all the information I have. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Kutter von Homburg TG
First of all: welcome to the forum !
The only citizenship for Kutter since before 1800 is that of Homburg. A line from Homburg gained citizenship of Wallenwil TG in 1876. I have renamed this thread accordingly.
Other lines (originally from Germany) gained citizenship of Mett BE (in 1845) and Zürich ZH (in 1876).
Gustave Adolph Kutter was born 1884, i.e. after 1876 (when today's Civil Registry system was set up). Unless some relative reads your post (not impossible, but not very likely either for such a recent DoB) contacting the Civil Registry Office responsible for Homburg (Zivilstandsamt Frauenfeld) would be the choice: ask them if Gustave Adolph Kutter can be identified on their register and (if yes) what you are expected to do to get a "Familienschein". You'd have to be a direct descendant for that and, unfortunately, there is a fairly high fee as well ... but the "Familienschein" is a combination of all birth, marriage and death records for an entire family.
For earlier generations church records (filmed by the Mormons) would be the source of choice - but the films stop in 1875.

Re: Kutter von Homburg TG
Die Familie Kutter wohnte über Generationen im Weiler Hasenreute in der Gemeinde Homburg. Sie ist auf diesem Hof bis kurz vor 1900 nachgewiesen.
Gruss
