I am looking for informations about the Surmont from Cornol.

Yvonne Surmont 14/7/1910 is coming to Belgium.

According to the 1940 edition of Familiennamenbuch Surmont have been citizens of Cornol since before 1800 (the only citizenship listed). In the 1989 edition the name is no longer mentioned at all. This indicates that the name became extinct in Switzerland between 1935 and 1962.

Unfortunately nothing is mentioned in the "von Moos" bibliography, nor the Historical Dictionary of Switzerland.

unfortunately you don't state what type of date 14/7/1910 is - her date of birth? - or some date in Belgium (arrival, marriage, ..)?

If it actually is her date of birth, she should be registered at the Civil Registry Office. The one responsible for Cornol is the one in Porrentruy - enquire at secr.oep@jura.ch whether Yvonne Surmont can be identified on their register - and what you are expected to do to get further information.

Surmont Yvonne Simone Léa, née le 14.07.1910, décédée le 17.03.1998, épouse de Rogge Charles Marie Albert, né le 01.05.1915, décédé le 26.01.1986, mariage en Belgique le 08.11.1939 ... la famille Surmont est bien de Cornol et je dispose de l'ascendance de Surmont Yvonne que je mets volontiers à disposition ...
