Georg --

I agree completely that Anton, Joseph (1817, although funeral records say 6.9.1816), and Georg were the sons of Wilhelm G. oo Marg. RENKES.

However, I do not believe that Joseph Ganster *13.12.1817 France oo Theresa Seeger 1819 Germany was the son of Michael G. oo Anna Maria LEININGER.

Germany, Select Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898 says:

Joseph Ganster *6.2.1820 Schonau s/o of Michaelis Ganster and Maria Anna "Heiniger." His age is confirmed on the ship's passenger list.

The Joseph Ganster I am referring to was born Dec. 13, 1817 in Lorraine, France. See supporting documentation.

It is interesting to note that there is no trace of Michael Ganster and Maria Anna (Leininger) and their children Joseph and Anna Maria in America that I can find. Their son Jacob is well documented.

CD ASF Stammreihen hier Fam Ganster:

ZWEIG MICHAEL GANSTER oo STITZER (Stützer, Stütz) Maria Magdalena

IV. Generation

41
GANSTER Michael
oo 20.11.1815
LEININGER Maria Margaretha

Ein Michael GANSTER, Schuster in Schönau, ist 1836 mit Familie nach USA ausgewandert (Heimatstelle Pfalz, Auswandererkartei) .
Derselbe?

42 GANSTER Georg oo 20.07.1818 KRUG Katharina Juliana
43 GANSTER Georg + 26.10.1819

Nicholas and Sarah Jane were my great grand parents
kaygee68 hat geschrieben:Peter Ganster died Jan. 15, 1892 in Baltimore. Anna died June 8, 1875 in Baltimore. Peter appeared to marry a second time to Sophia Miller. The Baltimore records are terrible.

Nicholas was married twice. First to Sarah Jane Bullard (1846-1887) on May 17, 1864 in Ohio County, West Virginia and then to Ella Loretta Clarkson (1854-1932) in Baltimore on Oct. 13, 1887. Nicholas had 6 children with Sarah (J.P., Harry Walter, Edgar N., Laura May, Anna M., and Georgianna Loretta) and 3 with Ella (May P., Nicholas C. Ganster, Jr., and Ella).

Nicholas died Sept. 1, 1914 in Baltimore.
Nicholas and Sarah Jane are also my great grand parents by their daughter Anna M. (my Grandmother) and her daughter, Lillian Loretta (my mother) Baltimore records are not to helpful, but there is some information available.
