Here's the baptismal record of Elisa Bauer in 1868 and the marriage of her parents in the same year, both records are in Steckborn.

There are birth/baptismal records and death records in Steckborn for three children whose mother is Susanna Bauer/Baur. It's possible that the Susanna in some or all of those records might be the Susanna who gave birth to Jacob Baur born in 1840. While checking the baptism register of Steckborn for a Susanna Bauer/Baur born during the years 1793 to 1823, I saw only one Susanna with the family name of Bauer/Baur. And she is the daughter of Johannes and Susanna Barbara Erni, born in 1812. Here are the records:
