GENEAL-FORUM

Hello:
I am tracing the ancestry of my ggg grandfather Johann Gottfried Broese who was born 4 September 1786 in Brandenburg and died 11 November 1849. He married Johanna (or Johanne) Lenz but I do not know that date. Johann was a chimney sweep by trade; a monument was built in 1851 in his honor in Krug Park.
Does anyone have any other information on him or his wife?
Again I would appreciate any help.
Sincerely,
David Weinfurtner

Hi David,

Johann Christoph BROESE, citizen and master chimney sweep in Neuruppin in 1836, had a daughter named Friederike Wilhelmine BROESE, born about 1808, who married Theodor Alvibiados Cicero SCHULZ in 1836.

Unfortunately I do not know where they got married.

Do you know www.db-brandenburg.de, a huge database of inhabitants in the province of Brandenburg? You will find some more Broese or Bröse persons there.

Best regards,
Willi
