NAMES IN DINHARD KB

I have located several ancestors in the Dinhard KB. Can I assume that a male named at baptism HANS RUDI FLUCK would not likely be called elsewhere in the KB simply RUDI FLUCK? In other words would the two names have been considered different names and that men called in the records Hans Rudi and Rudi would be different individuals? Such seems to be the case, but I would like to have some confirmation of it.

Thanks,

Well - just the names do not prove anything: two mentions of a Rudi Fluck could be two different people; you have to consider dates and other information as well. This will depend on how common the surnames and given names in question are.

Yes - people with more than one given name may not always be recorded with all their given names: so a Rudi Fluck could be (with full name) identical with a Hans Rudi Fluck ... but you have to be very careful, before assuming this to be a fact! ... make sure there is no other Rudi or Hans Rudi Fluck around at the time, if not in the Dinhard church records, then possibly in other parishes nearby.
