Ammann von Frauenfeld TG

[Leon]

Hello,

Can somebody help me with the name: Hans Ammann, he lived/was born in the year 1600 and married Susann Gamperin. It is the earliest name my family could find in their geneal research.
Is there any information or a way to find out who his parents were and so forth?

Kind regards,

Leon Ammann (Niederlande)

Church records (baptisms) for Frauenfeld begin in 1622 - so you will most likely not find him there.

A better bet would be the "Bevölkerungsverzeichnis" (visitation record) of 1634 (and later): if he still was alive in 1634 he should be mentioned there, possibly also his parents. These records may be viewed at both, the Thurgau and Zürich State Archives.
