I am looking for information about WALTER KELLER-STAUB (born 1895).
Dr. Walter Keller-Staub was a semi-famous lawyer in Zurich (Bahnhofstrasse 5) during WW2.
I am primarily interested in his later day life and about his wife, Madame Staub.
Any family tree to present-day relatives is also of interest.

Does anybody have any links to places I might find information about him, or to genealogy researches I might put on this easy case?

Any answer is helpful. Thank you.

I'm afraid - you don't seem to be familiar with Swiss privacy legislation: unless you are a direct descendant it will be rather difficult to find genealogical/personal information on such a "young" person.

There is a book Schweizerische Wertpapiergeschäfte mit dem «Dritten Reich» - Handel, Raub und Restitution, where he's mentioned in the persons' register three times - I have no idea, though, how extensive these mentions might be.

There is a Dossier kept at Swiss Archives - I don't know, under which conditions this may be viewed. It would be useful if you'd find out and report here.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer, Wolf!

No, I am unfortunately not familiar with the privacy laws of Swizerland, and also not in family with Keller-Staub.
I had hoped at least something official like a date of birth or death would be possible to find online or at some "volksregister" (as we call it here), but I totally respect this need for privacy.

Thanks again, I guess there is no need in trying to get in contact with any researchers in Zurich either, if the law is equal to all :)

Well - as he seems to be some sort of "person of public interest" some data may be available - though not online (at least, I didn't find anything) - as it may be of interest for historical research. "Census data" are not published in Switzerland (as in the USA).

The book I mentioned will be in major libraries and state archives: I made a note and will check next time I visit the State Library or State Archive.

I had also mentioned the Dossier at Swiss Archives: it is listed in their catalogue - without mention of any access restrictions. Might be worthwhile if you ask there about access - and (if not restricted) if it is possible to get copies or a look-up for specific information.
