GENEAL-FORUM

Hello again!

I need help with my ancestors from Pommern:

Generation 1:
Johanna Ernestine Frederike Strohschön (Strohschein) *11/08/1846

Generation 2:
Gottfried Ferdinand Strohschön *09/08/1821, probably in Röglin (?), Pommern
oo
Johanna (Hanna) Carolina Henriette Maas *18/01/1821, Balsdrey, Pommern

Generation 3:
Christian F. Strohschön
oo
Maria Elizabeth Raddatz

In the passenger list, the origin city of Gottfried Ferdinand Strohschön is Schönfeld. He traveled to Brazil in 1859.

Thanks for any information!

Guten Tag,

according to www.kartenmeister.com there are several places called Schönfeld in Pomerania (Pommern).

Maybe your ancestors were from the one in Kreis Schivelbein since Baldrey is also in Kreis Schivelbein. Röglin, however, is to be found in Kreis Belgard. kartenmeister.com gives some information on the parishes and civil registry offices (Standesämter) the places belonged to.

The most common spelling of Strohschön or Stroschein is Strohschein, a frequent surname in West Prussia.

Have you already tried http://pommernkontakte.de or www.pommern.org ?

When you need more help feel free to ask.

Greetings,
clarissa1874
