I'm looking for more information on this family, I have Jakob Ehrenbolger von Oberkirch 1829-1891 married to Katharina Huber, 1838-1882
They lived in Lucerne in a house referred to as the "Gasshusli", which was near a footpath to the Wagnerhouse. This is according to family letters and records.
There were numerous children:
Johann - 7 June 1863 -
Sophie - 16 Nov 1864
Gustav - 10 Sept 1866
Julius - 12 March 1868
Marie Anna - 18 Apr 1869
Josef - 9 Nov 1870
Albert - 9 May 1972
Kaspar - 19 Aug 1873
Verena - 16 May 1875
Josef - 17 Aug 1877
The typewritten page I have detailing this family say "Auszug aus dem Taufregister der Pferrei" Berikon, Kt.Aargau
At the bottom, it says Geboren im Luzern underneath Verena and Josef. I think this sounds like the family moved after the first 8 children. I have not found any official records on any of the family. There is more written material I can add, there are connections to the families Joller, Burger, Christensen, and others. There are possibly many variations of this family name.
The family was quite poor when the children were young. My great grandfather, Kaspar, eventually opened a wine import business from Spain after marrying Dolores Granolleras from Darnius, Spain. Her family had a small shop called the Spanische Weinhalle, and my great grandfather apparently expanded on it quite a bit. The business was sold in the 1930s, we think.
I have found a marriage record for Kaspar and Dolores, in the St Gallen Dompferrei Ehebuch 1892-1906 (married Sept 7, 1903).
