Hello, I have been researching my ancestor Frances Louise Wipper von Muller for decades with no results. Recently I had a dna match with a person who had WIPPERMULLER ancestors. I began researching the surname Wippermuller and found some similarities between a Louise Auguste Wippermuller born in Madgeberg in 1865 whose parents were Peter Wippermuller and Sophia/Josepha Packert and my ancestor Frances Louise Wipper von Mueller.
Frances Louise Wipper von Muller came to Australia at an unknown date. On her first marriage certificate her parents were Carl Emil von Mueller (a cigarette manufacturer) and Bertha Josepha Heina. She named her child born in 1888 George Emil. On her second marriage cert. Frances stated her parents were Peter Miller and Sophie Packert.
Louise Auguste had two brothers - Carl Herman and Emil Otto Adolph Wippermuller born 1863 and 1867 respectively.
I then looked for any Wippermuller's in Australia around 1860-1900 and found one: Martha Louise Wippermuller. Martha married George Bell JOSS in 1886. I have researched George and his family did not know that he ever married. Martha disappears and Frances Louise Wipper von Muller marries in the same state in Australia to George Hood in 1887. Martha does not appear again in any other records. Frances stated she was a teacher of music in 1887. Martha stated that her parents were Peter Muller (a musician) and Guiseppa Packhard.
Is anyone able to give me any clarity with this mess? I think Louise A, Martha L and Frances L are the same person but I am running out of places to look to confirm my suspicions.
Kind regards
Narelle

Re: Wippermuller family from Madgeberg, Saxony, Anhalt, Germany
my mind off hand: If the DNA-match is the only hint, it seems veeeery unlike that surname Wippermüller might be a spelling of von Mueller.
Also odd that Francis Louise's parents are given by totally different names in first and second marriage certificate. I'm not familiar with Australian genealogies, but in Europe or America I'd rather suspect there were name-sake "data-twins" of fairly same age.
First lead I would follow is Ferdinand von Mueller, who came to Australia in matching time-frame, few family members named in
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_von_Mueller
IF any possible connections between Ferdinand and Franziska Louise could be found in Australia, one could search vor eventul common ancestors in Schwerin.
Good luck!

HHG,
Thank you for your reply.
I will take on your suggestions. I have researched Baron Ferdinand von Mueller and found no connection to my von Mueller's. As far as I have ascertained Ferdinand never married and I am unaware of any illegitimate children being born to him.
Kind regards
Narelle

Ferdinand might be brother or cousin of Francis Louise. It was just MY most promising lead to untangle the "mess".
You may have solid reasons to assume the identities of the ones you named. Maybe helpful to post some?
Target person Frances Louise Wipper von Muller - born in Germany? Wipper a midle name, or a double surname from a previous marriage of her, or a second one of her parents?
Else, I'm afraid Forum members can't say much about your theories ...
