Ich interessiere mich für die Vorfahren und Nachkommen der Wiedmer Diemtigen, vor allem jene aus Zwischenflüh. Samuel Wiedmer geb. 1912 hatte hier Vorfahren (Nachkomme bin ich selber), die Schwestern Heidi Wüthrich (St Livres) und Martha (Avenches).

My grandfather is Johan Rudolf Widmer from Diemtigen/Zwischenfluh. He emigrated to the United States in 1904 and settled in Montpelier, Idaho, and moved to Geneva, Idaho a few years later.

I am not familiar with Samuel, born 1912. Did Samuel emigrate to the United States?

Kartoffelsalat didn't mention anything like it - but both mentioned places, Avenches and St-Livres, are in Vaud.

What about your ancestors? Noone has ever "completed" his research: do you have any questions? What is your "earliest" proven Wiedmer ancestor?

Just a technical comment: we discuss only single families (defined by name and place of citizenship) in each specific topic. Related (e.g. by marriage) families should be mentioned, of course, but details should be discussed in their own topics. These topics then can be linked to each other.
