I am researching in the community of Pleigne and I am trying to understand the boundaries (history) in order to properly record the place of this community, in particular between 1600 - 1792.

For example ~ someone born in Pleigne today, it would be recorded as Pleigne, Delémont, Jura, Switzerland.
Before 1978 would be Pleigne, Delémont, Bern, SW;
in 1810 Pleigne, Delémont, Haut Rhin, France;
in 1806 Pleigne, Delémont, Mont Terrible, France.

I have searched online and in some libraries, but ...
I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Carol Earnhart forscht in der Gemeinde Pleigne im Bezirk Delemont und sucht genauere Angaben zur Geschichte bzw. der Zugehörigkeit der Gemeinde speziell im Zeitraum 1600 bis 1792.

Seit 1454 gehört Pleigne zum Fürstbistum Basel.
1792 gehört es für ein paar Monate zur République Rauracienne.
1793 gelangt es im Département du Mont Terrible zu Frankreich.
1800 wird es mit dem Département Haut-Rhin verbunden.
1815 kommt es schliesslich an den Kanton Bern.
1979 kommt es zum neugegründeten Kanton Jura.

In 1792 it belonged for a few months to République Rauracienne.
