GENEAL-FORUM

Ich habe mir erlaubt, die Uebersetzung etwas zu korrigieren.I have partially corrected the translation, although this was was surprisingly good for a computer translation.
For future postings: English is fine - admins usually provide a human translation into German or at least a summary (or French - depending on the region).

Thank you for the correct translation. I wasn't sure whether to post in English or German. Here's hoping my very basic German (or Babelfish) will be able to translate the replies!

Hi Irene

Danke! Thank you for the address of the State Archives in Mainz. I will send them an email with my questions
I know the information for Ludwig Bamberger, German banker. I think it is possible that he is the nephew of my great great grandfather, Franz Ludwig Bamberger but this I have to prove
Regards,

Hi Irene
I contacted State Archives in Mainz by email and they advise that they have records for the information I am seeking. Such good news! [:]
