GROSS & ZIMMER - Kröppen, Trulben

Beitrag von jonas » So 6. Jul 2008, 05:35

Hello,

I am researching the following family:

Bernhard Gross oo Elisabeth Zimmer 22 Jan 1742 In Trulben

Elisabeth Zimmer + 17 Apr 1726 Kröppen tv. Johann & Gertrud Gard
Bernahrd Gross + ?? Sv. Andreas & Barbara Keller

This information was taken from OSB Batschsentiwan. I am hoping to find Bernhard's place of birth, etc. and further information about the parents of both he and his spouse Elisabeth Zimmer. There is some indication that Bernhard came from Langelsheim, Kr. Saargemünd, Lothringen in June 1765. I do not know if this was his place of birth or where he was living at the time he emigrated.

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice in my search.

Thank you kindly,

Jonas Brown, Canada

Hello,

Thank you very much for this information. I am so pleased. I did not have anything on these children before. Nor was I aware of the many variations of the Gard/Gardhauser/frater surname. I also appreciate the extra effort you took in checking the Walschbronn book. The Andreas you found there is my direct ancestor. He was married to an Elizabeth Klingler, and they had 13 children, some of whom may also have been born in Kröppen. This family seems to have moved around quite a bit. And you have provided yet another place to look for Bernhard's ancestors, and possibly the Zimmers - Imsbach. This is really very helpful!

Thank you again.

Best Wishes,

Hello Uli,

Thank you for the link. I will have a look. Perhaps they provide a postal research service which would be most helpful.

Best wishes,

Hello,

I'm glad I was able to help.
My ancestors also came from Kröppen and went to Csátalja in Hungary.

I found nothing about Andres Groß - Elisabeth Klingler in Trulben or Walschbronn, maybe they are in Vinningen?
(Do you know the following link? You can find all the books there.
http://genealogie-in-pirmasens.de).

But in Trulben I found the brother of Bernhard Groß, named Bartholmäus. Apparently, he was "Schäfer, aus Münchweiler" and the son of "Gros Andreas and Koller (= Keller) Barbara".
He was married twice and had 11 children.
If your are interested, I would send you scans from the book via e-mail.

Greetings from Austria ;;;

Hello again,

Thank you so much. Yes, I am quite interested and would very much like to see the pages. Maybe Bartholmäus stayed closer to home than his brother. (I'll have to google Münchweiler.)

I appreciate the link. I will have a look to see what they have on Vinningen, etc.

I found the following online: From Heimatbuch Batschsentiwan: Groß Bernhard Farmer, Langelsheim, Kr. Saargemünd, Lothringen, June 1765

I do not know where Langelsheim is yet, but it's another place to check for Andreas & Barbara Klingler/Keller/Koller.

(My ancestors eventually made their way to Doroslo & Sonta.)

Best wishes,

Jonas Brown, Canada
