Hallo, heute gebe ich mal einen Hilferuf aus Wales wieder, vielleicht kann jemand helfen:
My name is Mandy C.. I am researching my family tree, and have found that both of my Great Great Grandparents were born in Germany.
Philip Young born about 1836 in Rothselburg, Germany
Mary Hoffeld born about 1846 in Vulernaison, Germany
I do know that the name Young was changed and could possibly have been Jung.
I have found an IGI record of the birth of Philip Jung 12th January 1836 - Rothselberg, Pfalz, Bayen. With Parents Johannes Jung and Maria Elizabeth Mohr (batch number C961102).
I have also found that there is no such place as “Vulernaison†.
Philip came to Wales from India, where he possibly served in the Army, several of their children were born in India.
I have just copied and pasted the 1891 transciption of the census page from ancestry.com.

Dort findet man auch die Wiedergabe ihres Hinweises auf den merkwürdigen Ort Vulernaison, den es ganz sicher nicht gibt. Ich bin auch nicht in der lage gewesen, aus der Kopie einen Ort zu erkennen, den es in D gibt. Möglicherweise ist er so verballhornt worden, dass man ihn nicht wiedererkennt, vielleicht erkennt jemand eine Entsprechung, wenn man sich überlegt, wie deutsche Sprache sich im englischen anhört.
