Ich suche meine Vorfahren, die Eisenkirch hießen. Valentin Eisenkirch starb in Soufflenheim am 01. Feb. 1803. Sein Geburt war in "Steinweiller en Bavière" ca. 1740. Zur Zeit habe ich wenigstens vier \"Steinweiller\" in Bayern gefunden. Der Name kommt nicht oft vor. Kann jemand helfen? Entschuldigen mein schlechtes Deutsch.

Hello Nettie, don't hesitate to write your query in English here.
However, since at least one Steinweiler was / is located in the Palatinate area you should post your query on the "Rheinland-Pfalz"-board. I am rather sure that your Valentin Eisenkirch came from that area which belonged also to Bavaria at that time.
Greetings, Mark

Hallo Nettie,
if you give in EISENKIRCH at
www.Familysearch.org, you will find your Valentin, his wife Maria Anna Zettwach, several children, and you could write to the indexers of these persons.

Nettie answered by email:
No information at Family Search gives any information regarding
Steinweiller. I have written to several other Eisenkirch researchers; some
have turned out to be cousins, but no one seems to have any informatio about
Eisenkirchs and Steinweiller. That's why I wrote to this Forum. "I have
hit a brick wall."

Nettie,
I agree with you the link to family search given by Annette is of no help for you. There is no additional information. However, when your Eisenkirch family was Roman-Catholic no older records of the Steinweiler in the Palatinate region was microfilmed (only Catholic records from 1785 to 1789). The Mormon's catalogue shows a publication "Emigrants from Steinweiler and their American relatives in three centuries". Perhaps it's worth a try.
